Madrid holds a special place in my heart but it doesn’t hold the “favorite Spanish town” award- for me, that would be Toledo. From the moment I stood outside the walls surrounding the town, I knew I was in for a treat. Narrow, cobblestone streets, cozy cafes, towering cathedrals, and an abundance of religion and history all bottled up within the walls waiting to be discovered. Toledo is pretty awesome. I haven’t been in several years, but I remember enjoying it quite a bit. 🙂 thanks for bringing back such good memories!

I think I’d be hard-pushed to pick a favourite in Spain – So far it would be between Seville, Cordoba and Granada…but I’ve never been to Toledo so may need to add this to my list!

Ahhh see we’re opposites, I haven’t been to Southern Spain yet but I will be going there in June and I have a sneaky suspicion that Seville might steal my “favorite Spanish town” since it’s the sister city to my hometown. Toledo is definitely worth a visit! I just love the small-town feel especially after being in Madrid for a while, it’s a nice getaway 🙂

We had such a quick road trip from Madrid to Sevilla that we totally missed this gem, and now I’m super disappointed! I will just have to vicariously live through these pictures!

Ohhh you brought me back some amazing memories! I visited Toledo on my first trip to Europe while I was in Madrid… I loved this little town and I would love to go back there again sometime!
