The Eiffel Tower, one of the most well-known monuments in the world is a must-see when traveling to Paris, France. The Eiffel Tower stands at over 1,000 feet tall and there are three different levels for visitors to see panoramic views of the city. In my opinion, the best views of Paris are from the second level because you are high enough up to see great panoramic views of the city skyline but are still able to recognize other notable Paris landmarks.
I seriously suggest purchasing your Eiffel Tower tickets in advance or purchasing them from a tour guide if you happen to go on any tours prior to your visit to the Eiffel Tower. If you wait until you arrive at the Eiffel Tower to purchase tickets you will be waiting in a VERY long line, trust me. When I was in Paris, my friends and I went on a 3-hour free walking tour of Paris in the morning (although the tour is free, it’s suggested to tip the tour guide at the end of the tour, normally 5-10 euros per person). Our tour guide had tickets to the Eiffel Tower for a specific time so we purchased those through her, arrived at the Eiffel Tower at the time indicated on the tickets and hardly had to wait at all before we got on the elevator to take us to the second level.
Your time is precious while traveling, so don’t waste your time waiting in lines. Purchase tickets in advance!!
While visiting the Eiffel Tower during the daytime provides amazing panoramic views of the city. You CANNOT miss seeing it at night when it’s sparkling against the nighttime sky. There is something magical about seeing the Eiffel Tower at night so make sure you don’t miss it, after all Paris is known as the “City of Light”!
